Our Promise
What is The Vista Promise?
Across Vista Parcs we’ve been selling residential park homes and holiday homes for over 50 years, and our loyal community residents and holiday home owners can act as ambassadors for our parks.
When our residents and holiday homeowners buy with us, we promise to provide them with a clear, straightforward, and enjoyable experience. We walk all new purchasers through the costs and support them every step of the way: from the moment they decide to buy, to the moment they get their keys and all the way through their ownership.
Transparency
We give our residents and holiday homeowners all the information they need to know about owning a park home or holiday home with us. That means walking them through all the key parts of their agreements during a welcome meeting. It is important that they take time to read this information. The written statement (residential) or the pitch licence agreement (leisure) is the legal contract between our customers and Vista Parcs and clearly lays out the terms and conditions of their ownership and the arrangements between both parties.
14-day cooling off period
We want all our residents and holiday homeowners to be sure they have made the right decision when purchasing their home from us, which is why we offer a cooling-off period. Once they’ve placed the order and signed the agreement, they have 14 days to change their mind and cancel. If they decide they no longer wish to proceed with the purchase, we will give them a full refund.
Pitch fee clarity
Our residential customers have piece of mind that we will only ever increase pitch fees by inflation (measured by CPI) as detailed in the mobile home act. For our holiday home owners we will only ever increase pitch fees by inflation (measured using the RPI).
Unless increased taxes or new regulations or laws are imposed by the government or other authorities. We will always make sure our customer know, with plenty of notice, the reasons for any increases.
Indefinite tenure on all park homes
When someone buys a park home from us, the agreement will run indefinitely, as stated in the Mobile Home Act 1983, so in practical terms our residents can remain as long as they comply with terms of the agreement.
Minimum 5-year tenure on holiday homes
When someone buys a new holiday home from us, they will always have at least 5 years tenure and it can be as high as 40 years depending on what and where they buy.
Warranties
Our residential park homes all come with an approved “Gold Shield” warranty that lasts for 10 years from new. To give our holiday homeowners peace of mind, when they purchase a holiday home from us, they will receive a 6-month warranty as a minimum, free of charge. If it’s a new holiday home, they will receive the manufacturer’s warranty. If it’s an approved used holiday home, they will receive a Vista Parcs warranty which covers all parts of the holiday home, excluding any parts which are covered by a third-party guarantee.
You can leave at any time
If a resident or holiday home owner decides to sell their home, they can do this at any time and we ensure the process is as smooth as possible. It’s important to us that they have all the information they need to make the right decision for them, and our team will be available to explain their options. They can sell to who they like and when they like, the options include selling privately, taking their home off the park, or selling it back to Vista Parcs if we come to an agreement.
Renting out your holiday home
As well as enjoying their own holidays, many of our holiday homeowners can choose to rent out their holiday homes and use the income generated to help offset their running costs. Our scheme, called Vista Lets, helps our holiday home owners rent out their holiday home hassle-free. Our owners also have the option to rent out their holiday home privately too.
